Thank you, SO MUCH for posting this video (and thank you Kelly from another Michigander). I haven't used my machine in a while (kept it unplugged and covered) and went to do a simple name to put on a Christmas gift this morning. At first I thought my screen was completely dead to the touch until I unplugged the embroidery unit and tried the regular stitches. The touch was actually off 1" to 1.5" to the right. I didn't see anything in the manual for resetting so went straight to the internet and found you. Christmas is only six days away and I dreaded having to take it in and not have that name in time for the gift. You saved Christmas!
Thank you, thank you and thank you again. I was ready to just buy a new machine after taking my Pacesetter 8200 in twice and paying to have the screen “fixed” as they told me. I haven’t been able to enjoy sewing for two years until now because I couldn’t adjust the tension. After your tips everything works. Many thanks.
Thank you so much for your video. This is actually the third time it has saved me. I finally decided to write the directions out to keep with the machine for fear that this video will ever be deleted.
*Make sure you remove/disconnect embroidery arm from the end of the machine*
Thank you for posting this video, the dealers do not seem interested in helping with the older machines. This worked on the sewing side but not when the embroidery design is loaded

You have answered a question for me before about free motion quilting. I helped my friend with her machine, made sure the needle was in the center of the foot. However, we still broke 2 needles. I took pictures of the foot to let you see if it is bent. As I said before I have not used a brother sewing machine before just trying to help a friend. Her machine foot does not look straight like mine. As we turn the wheel it starts to touch the foot and breaks the needle. Please help again, her funds are limited.
I also get the numbers 1 - 30. I would be happy if I could at least get the sewing function to work.
THANKS Save Stores, my PC-8200 screen has "been going bad" for quite a while. Sewing machine technician said would have to replace screen at $$$$. This seems to have fixed my unresponsive screen!!!! Hopefully this has fixed it good and it will last. THANKS again.
After this reset routine my Brother SG2100 (The European version of the PC8500) I get only numbers 1 to 30. No response to touching the screen. When I set the power switch OFF and ON, I get the normal menu, but no response either.
Hi Thank you for the video. My touch screen will not respond to touch....I have followed the instructions in the video and it worked as described but after turning machine off and then back on, my touchscreen still won't respond....Help please !!
